Let's Play Ball

HLL Familes,
It's time to start playing baseball!
We'll be sending out a lot of information over the next few days, so please watch for additional announcements from us. Here's the most pressing information; we know this doesn't cover everything but hopefully gets things rolling for the 2020 season. This will be a unique year, as we try to maintain a balance of safety and appreciation for COVID-19 concerns, as well as a desire to get our kids out and playing baseball again.
If you are currently registered and unable to play this year, please let us know immediately. If you haven't registered yet, please also get that done right away! The deadline to decide on this season is June 1.
In an effort to reduce crowds around the complex, we will not be holding a traditional Opening Day or Closing Ceremonies. Whenever possible, we will be playing one game per field per night, to limit the overlap of players and fans. The roar of the crowd may be a bit muted this year, but we ask our fans to respect social distancing guidelines as much as possible, including seating around the fields.
The Concession stand will be CLOSED throughout the season. Please make sure your player has appropriate hydration and nutrition as needed, as it will not be available at the complex. Restroom facilities will be open, and sanitized daily. We will use a portion of the concession bond fee to cover the additional sanitation costs, rather than offering shifts for cleaning bathrooms. The rest of the fee will be refunded to you. Thank you for your understanding of the situation. A separate communication will be sent in regards to getting back your portion of the fee.

Division specifics are below. Our plan is to hold a full season of games, and avoid weekend games as proposed for this season. There may be exceptions if the weather doesn't cooperate, but we believe we can fit everything in.
Majors teams have been practicing on a limited basis for the past couple of weeks. They will now move to full practices, and will begin games June 1st. The season will run through July 9th. At this point, there is no information about post-season activities (City Tournament, All-Stars, etc). At a national level, the Little League World Series has already been cancelled for this year, but we are hoping to have some events at a local level.
Anyone registered for AAA has already been contacted and we are moving forward with tryouts tomorrow night (5/28). Games will start the week of June 8th, and the season will run through July 17th. If you haven't been contacted in regards to your timeslot for the tryout, please let us know immediately, so we can get you scheduled.
A Player Evaluation to set teams will be held Tuesday, June 2 at 5:30 and 6:30. Look for a separate email confirming your player's timeslot. Games will start the week of June 8th and wrap up the week of July 17th.
Teams will be assigned in the next week, and a separate announcement will be sent to A players letting them know their team and coach. This season will also run June 8th-July 17th.

Thank you for being patient with us, and we look forward to finally seeing you out at the ballpark!!
